There but for the sense not to dash across the road at night go I
Sometimes you’re running along feeling fleet of foot and you look down on the shoulder and realize the branch you’ve just avoided is actually a neatly-severed deer foreleg, with hoof.

I made my way through university working in an art & crafts store. Among the pompoms, googly eyes, and pipe cleaners, was a shelf dedicated to lamp making supplies. One day this lady came in with lots of questions about making a lamp. How much wiring do I need, where does the light-bulb holder thingy go...etc. I was having some trouble explaining how it all worked because I couldn't make sense of what she would be using for a base. So I asked her. She said, "Zebra and antelope legs" and she proceeded to open the very large bag she was holding to reveal a bunch of cleanly severed legs with hooves. The stuttering and spluttering ensued and I managed to hook her up with the right supplies.

I knew I should have picked it up!
Maybe it's because I'm pregnant, but I just dry heaved reading the post and Jayne's comment. Uuuugggghh
No, it was actually gross.
