- I saw an eagle standing on the ice out on Tomahawk Lake this morning.
- My patellar tendo(i?)nitis is much more localized than it was, but returns after each long run.
- We dropped in on friends and found three goats penned in their backyard. I was not upset that they hadn't told us about the goats; I was upset that they weren't reading Exurbitude, because if they had, they would have told us about the goats. (The goats were on loan to eat weeds.)

The eagle sounds majestic & lovely and the goats, well, goat-like; sorry to hear about your painful-sounding thing; and though I cannot officially shout gleefully about the Giants (see my latest posts), I am glad they beat the Patriots.
An acceptable weekend all around?
How 'bout them Giants!!
I just finished watching the game, and boring as it was for the first three quarters, the fourth quarter made up for it.
And Tom Petty wasn't too bad, either.
Mr. Braine--
If the knee pain is as pinpointed as you say, try 400mg of ibuprofen 2-3x/day the day before, of, and after your long run. I wouldn't use it as a long-term solution, but try one round (3 days of it) and see if the pain subsides/disappears.
